Valius

Here's the rough penciled sketch and finished colored version (by Mike Atiyeh) of Valius Ying--- our loving/ obese/ Twi'lek/ bounty hunter/crime boss guy. I really love how so far in this series we've gone away from the stereotypical bad ass heroes and villains. Our characters have been really flawed and comical with how inept they can be and I think they gives them each a lot of personality. I think it makes you root for them... or at least I hope you do.

Yep -- Valius really puts out that Tony Soprano look. A great character -- sorry to have expired him so quickly!

Hi John! Maybe he can come back-- robotic crab legs and his fat jolly upper body, he'd actually look a little bit like Mojo from the X-Men comics.

Hello Cebri,

Thanks very much-- I am glad you like the drawings!

However, I have not done any Samurai comics-- maybe you have me confused with Luke Ross? He did the Samurai: Heaven and Earth series.

Well, remember Wein's Law: "No one in comics is ever really dead unless you can see the body -- and usually not even then!"
